Daniel Department of Biological Sciences,
University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand.

ABSTRACT: Using organisms from extreme terrestrial environments as models for extraterrestrial life may lead us to underestimate the range of environments that life may inhabit.
An alternative approach is to inspect the range of conditions over which crucial biomolecules might function.
Recent investigations of enzyme activity suggest that they have the potential to function over a wider range of environmental conditions than expected.
Although the upper temperature limit for enzyme stability is unclear, some enzymes are active up to 130 oC.
There is no evidence that enzyme activity ceases at low temperatures; it declines in a predictable manner to the lowest temperature at which it has been possible to make measurements, -100 oC.
It has been generally accepted that dehydration stops enzyme activity but this acceptance may have arisen partly from the technical difficulty of assessing enzyme activity without a fluid medium for diffusion. Experiments using anhydrous organic solvents or gas phase substrates suggest activity occurs in enzymes at very low hydration.

////////
VS
///////

16012
Social and Animal Entertainer in Jupiter Zoos

NO ABSTRACT NECESSARY :In other words, some scientists keep forgetting the obvious: there is life in other planets, such as Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus...only to name those in our solar system.
Water might not be necessary as they say, or temperatures are not a problem for some enzymes.
But the real thing is that life in the universe exists. Crystalized thinking is the way to get there.

Planet Jupiter has animals, and they live in Zoos

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 220px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_fPwRWBfQzNs/ScjGWnAWF7I/AAAAAAAAAAo/1MR9QcPV3Xw/s320/tapesarecool.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316717451840722866" />

I still remember the first GIG I did in planet Jupiter. Remnants of the music used can be heard in my space at behance. It was in a zoo, not too big, but full of animals. I used tape for recording it, since the dense and toxic atmosphere and lights did not allow for a quality recording by other means at the time (And also my economic means had something to do with it)

The truth is that there are many, and live in Zoos, The animals that live and enjoy the special light and toxic atmosphere of the most beautiful planet there is on the solar system are the most incredible creatures that you can ever meet.
